What Do You Need to Know Before Handling Pool Acid?

Pool acid is the most hazardous chemical in a standard maintenance kit. Used correctly, it’s completely manageable. Used carelessly, it causes serious injury. Follow these guidelines every time.

Before You Add Acid to Your Pool:

Always add acid to water, never water to acid. Pouring water onto concentrated acid causes a violent, heat-releasing reaction. Dilute by pouring acid slowly into a bucket of water first.
